I mostly use Instagram and Facebook to showcase my portfolio. As an artist I rely on my audience to engage with my ideas, however when that involves nudity in the form of a fine art photograph, I am censored. It is increasingly frustrating. I know too many people who use the same platforms to generate sales and gallery representation directly from these sites, yet there is no line between pornographic material and fine art. Unfortunately we have no idea if someone is targeting us, if this is an algorithm, or both. It would be helpful to know. I really wouldn't want my Instagram account wiped out again or to be locked out of my Facebook account for a month like other countless times. There must be a way we can figure this out so we all win.
